AMAL AL RAISI LAUNCHES AUTUMN/WINTER 2021 COLLECTION

A hidden gem nestled in the Western Hajer mountains of Oman defines the village of Wakan. Home to terraced gardens and apricot flowers, this farming village inspired Amal Al Raisi’s Autumn/Winter 2021 collection. Dedicated to resilient women, this collection embraces the inspiration by defining the strong layers embedded in each woman.

The collection boasts flowy silhouettes of long dresses and separates that stay true to the feminine aesthetic of the brand while subtle elements of lace and velvet add a touch of elegance. Similar to the Sakura blossom in Japan, when the apricot flowers of Wakan Village are in full bloom, the village turns into a paradise with white flowers that are visible from miles away. These flowers symbolize change and new beginnings which is captured in the latest collection through Amal’s signature embroidery of leaves and flowers.

Strong hues of grey and black which signify fortitude and power are fused with hints of turquoise symbolizing emotional balance and femininity while pale rose expresses grace. Together these colors offer a meaningful color palette. Playing with hard and soft fabrics in this collection depicts how underneath the tough exterior that women portray, there lies a delicate side.

The AW’21 lookbook is shot in collaboration with Jawahir Oman. The essence of Omani craftsmanship lies in the heart of both brands, complementing each other while making it an unique collaboration.

Artistically referencing the beauty of the village through different elements, the Autumn/Winter 2021 collection embraces the strength within every woman.
