The Vera Wang Wedgwood Elements of Style Collection is designed to appeal to a new generation of consumers, with individualized, quintessentially Vera Wang collections that clearly speak to their distinctive styles. Acknowledging both person and personality, Vera has created unique impressions in dinnerware, stemware, flatware and giftware to expressly address the diverse tastes, sensibilities and lifestyles of today’s consumer.
Through the eyes of a Modernist, the future is now
With a sense of intellect that is always implied, a Modernist adores any version of clean, open design. Always looking forward, a Modernist’s design intuition defies convention and frequently provides some rather extreme counterpoints. Like art, the Modernist’s sense of style often reveals unseen sophistication.
For Vera Castillon dinnerware, Vera offers the Modernist a distinctive, understated design using simple bands of gold and grey colour in an asymmetrical offset that subtly shifts with each piece in the setting. Vera’s vision for Castillon was formed in her New York offices where she sketched out templates of plates and bowls of all sizes. She then went about placing the bands, comparing the proportion and relationship of each piece in the setting, with the idea of each rim band complementing the other as a set. Negative white space, a hallmark of the modernist design, draws the eye to the bold colour blocking of the two tone rim.
Vera Bande crystal stemware and giftware exalts the Modernist ethos with a design that celebrates spare simplicity. With a clean, flawlessly modern profile and a single, circular cut at the perfect pouring point. Vera Bande makes a bold statement through understatement.
A love of style supersedes trends
The Traditionalist looks beyond fashion to style. A natural inclination towards casual grace – always relevant and timeless – is part of the Traditionalist fascination.
While renovating her Manhattan apartment, Vera travelled to Italy seeking the perfect marble for her kitchen. Visiting the Italian quarries, she was captivated by the random striations of raw marble. Inspired, she returned to the studio to create Vera Venato Imperial dinnerware, a homage to the traditionalism of natural beauty. Modeling a traditional coupe shape, the Vera Venato Imperial pattern design showcases the random art of unrefined marble that is organic yet artful.
The desire for self-expression transcends all other consideration
For the Individualist, personal expression is key. Headstrong and opinionated, they wear their individuality like a badge of honor. Neither a trendsetter nor a follower, the Individualist can be counted on to follow her own dictates, which always provides a hint of the unexpected.
To capture the spirit of individualism for Vera Pointilliste dinnerware, Vera commissioned a French artist to experiment painting with salt and watercolour in various shades of blue to achieve a textural feeling. The result is a vaporous, two-dimensional design with a three-dimensional feel, in a smoky blue grey gradient that dissipates into a field of white.
Vera Metropolitan stemware posits the perfect crystal accompaniment to Vera Pointilliste, or any Vera Wang Wedgwood pattern styled for the Individualist. Simple, sleek and free of cutting, Vera Metropolitan boasts a contemporary silhouette with a subtly conical bowl and elegantly thin stem.
Passion guides every decision
The Romanticist is ruled by higher passions than most. She considers life a marvelous adventure and revels the opportunity to realize her deepest emotions. For the Romanticist, the fantasy is always a reality.
A hallmark of a well-appointed table is complementary flatware, and Vera Wang introduces three new flatware patterns designed to elevate the category. Vera Harrow revisits a sterling service standby, with a unique redesign of classic silver scrollwork that speaks to the Romanticist.
